New Game Season 2 Fanservice Review

The second season of New Game, an adorable slice-of-life anime about a team of girls at a video game company, brings with it a similar dose of sexiness as the first season. While it’s not an anime, it’s not afraid to drop some nice bathing and underwear shots, and its exemplary animation and art quality make it a worthy watch!

Premise:

​It has been a year since Aoba Suzukaze started working at the Eagle Jump game company. In that time, she and her eccentric coworkers in the character design department have worked hard to release the company’s newest game: Fairies Story 3. With their latest title now complete, a new project must begin—starting with a contest to decide the character designs for the upcoming game. Through hard work, dedication, and some guidance from the previous character designer, Kou Yagami, Aoba wins the contest and begins her new role as lead character designer.

However, her new job is not an easy one. In addition to having extra work and longer hours, Aoba questions whether she is the right fit for the job. New Game!! continues as Aoba overcomes her inexperience with the help of her friends and coworkers, willing to face any challenge to make Eagle Jump’s newest creation, a cutesy game called Peco.

A part of the holy trinity of ecchi anime released by Masters of Entertainment (m.o.e) during 2004, Cosprayers is a sexy battle heroine story. It’s complimentary series, Smash Hit and Love Love also tell the behind the scenes production of Cosprayers (meta enough for you yet?).

As with all its shows, Cosprayes is doused in fanservice and is lolicon-friendly, with ecchi covering the fill spectrum! Being a heroine story, there’s opportunity for some spicier service when the girls are captured!

Choujuushin Gravion Zwei

Gravion is a popular anime franchise by studio Gonzo which combined mecha stories with a focus on cute, sexy girls and moe. The first series aired in 2002, and the second, Gravion Zwei, in 2004. It’s trashy Gonzo at it’s peak and marketed its girls hard for the otaku crowd, giving plenty of sexiness over the years.

Just look at some of these promo and Megami pinup illustrations!

Unlike a lot of other shows of this ilk though, Gravion has some other things going for it that make it worth watching such as a self-parodying tone, and 80s-style mecha animation. The amount of fanservice in the show is just enough that you wouldn’t class it as ecchi but it’s still got the goods!

The service kicks off with an onsen episode early in the series, showing the series has the strength to show nipples right off the bat!

Sadly she isn’t given the nipple treatment!

Like most of shows of this era, it’s females get a uniform that does wonders for their figure!
Although they’re not super frequent, some nice panty-shots are spread throughout the show.
And the T&A is on-point!
Being a partial comedy, there’s plenty of room for dressing up and other silly antics!

Later in the show, this girl gets the nipple treatment in a great shower shot!

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue is an original TV anime which is one of many anime to come out in the early 00’s and late 90s’ in the ‘fighting girls’ genre. This genre usually revolves around a group of girls in a special police force other combat unit who wear tight-fitting and revealing outfits in the line of duty! It’s promotional imagery exudes T&A and the anime makes sure to give people the eye candy they want!

Premise:

In the future, water has covered much of the Earth due to the effects of global warming, leaving the human race to live on neighboring floating cities. The orphaned Maia Mizuki, fifteen years of age, just graduated from middle school and has already applied for employment in the elite Ocean Agency, part of the futuristic world government. Only the best, most intelligent, and physically fit students are eligible for admission. Maia, the series’ protagonist, is set to become one of the few.

But her ideal life quickly falls apart. To her disappointment, Maia unexpectedly fails her entrance exams despite her high grades. Making matters worse, she promptly gets evicted from her house, pick pocketed, taken hostage, then shot. She is “saved” by two females (Rena and Shizuka) that are part of an unorthodox help-for-hire organization called Nereids (inspired by the Greek mythological Nereids). With nowhere to go, Maia joins up with Nereids, taking jobs from capturing wanted criminals to chasing stray cats, often with unexpected results. Gloria and Yu later join up with Nereids.

It’s careful not to wade all the way into smut territory however, proving fairly restrained with its fanservice. Since the show has a lot of the same service, I haven’t gone for a full blow-by-blow breakdown of the show. Instead, feat your eyes on some of the highlights and that should give a good idea of what the show’s about!

This is a great shower shot, hot body and little steam!

There’s always time for the classic cosplays!

In case their regular battle outfits weren’t enough, the girls look damn good in bikinis too!

But in some ways, binins offer more coverage than their uniforms, which are perfectly designed to highlight their amble bosoms and bums!

Burn Up Scramble!

Burn Up Scramble was the last entry in the Burn Up! franchise, a 12 episode series releases in 2004 with a different look at feel to the previous entries. Burn Up Scramble is emblematic of the female battle team genre of anime that was still booming at the start of 2004, using its working women and action settings to service fans with busty girls in mini-skirts, skimpy outfits, change rooms and panty shots. Suits me just fine!

Premise:

Set in AD. 2023, Tokyo the government is concerned about the increase in major criminal organizations, terrorists and other threats to the security of society. This leads to the formation of special extralegal police team from within the Metro Police Section 8 Branch called Warrior. Under their Commander, the team combines the talents of martial arts expert Rio Kinezono and skilled marksman and gun expert Maya Jingu. They are joined later by the shy Lilica Evette who uses her psychic powers to assist them in their crime-solving adventures. Later, the Police Council create obedient New Warriors to replace the original Warriors. These New Warriors are genetically modified humans with superhuman strength gained via drugs and based on data obtained from monitoring Rio and Maya’s missions.

The promotional art for the series was always sure to demonstrate the sex appeal of its heroines!

Naked apron, that’s one way to get your viewer’s attention!

The bathing scenes are well done, using the opportunity for great eye candy, even sneaking in some nipple glimpses!

Rio’s hot body is shown off well in underwear..
…and even better without!
And she’s not the only one, her teammates are all given the chance to appear sans clothing.

There’s plenty of shots of Rio in various states of undress, and one particularly good moment where she’s topless and her nipples are fully exposed.

One massive charm point in Rio’s favor is her tendency to wear cute bear panties, and they’re frequently visible. How cute!
Panty-shots are once of the show’s strengths , with lots of styles to be seen and some generous camera angles to help get that glimpse!

There’s some moments where it shows a kinky streak to it, with references to bondage and candle play.

But there’s no doubt what most fans are here for, these hot bodies!

Ghost Talker’s Daydream

Ghost Talker’s Daydream (or known as Vulgar Ghost Daydream in Japan) is a 10-volume shounen manga with a unique blend of S&M and supernatural horrror. The manga was adapted into a 4-episode OVA series back in 2004. It’s one of those anime gathering dust on the proverbial shelf, little remembered by the anime fandom. But it still holds its own in terms of sexiness and animation quality!

Premise:

Ghost Talker’s Daydream is a horror anime created by Saki Okuse and Sankichi Meguro. It tells the story of Misaki Saiki, a young woman with a troubled past, who is a professional dominatrix in one of Tokyo’s most exclusive S&M clubs. However, her real money is something she likes even less than being a dominatrix. Ever since childhood, Misaki has had the ability to see and communicate with ghosts, and that talent is put to use by the Livelihood Protection Agency, who pairs Misaki with Souichiro Kadotake, a martial artist who happens to be deathly afraid of ghosts. Using her gifts, Misaki is able to help troubled departed spirits resolve what is troubling them and allow them to move on to the afterlife. If all THAT isn’t odd enough, Misaki is an albino AND a virgin.

So the leading lady is a dominatrix and on top of that, the stories featured often involve some kind of violent or twisted sexuality. This means most of the promotional material puts her in sexy BDSM outfits and/or bondage!

The anime itself is a little lighter on the bondage, but generous on the boobage!
It opens with some lovely nudity right off the bat, showing off Misaki’s great boobs!

She soon winds up exposed in public wearing somewhat kinky lingerie!

Things get dark when a villain appears and assaults an innocent school girl 🙁

Fortunately, dominatrix heroin comes to the rescue!

Her stunning panties are profiled well!

They certainly don’t want to keep her assets hidden!

Time to put another week behind us, sit back and look at some of the recent highs, lows and lewds in the world of anime, manga and all things weeaboo.

Pretty solid week in the end with the surprise release of Queens Blade Rebellion 2 giving us some nice nudity and somewhat kinky content! There was also more sexiness to be found in Arifureta’s second OVA special.

But the TV anime side of things put in a good effort as well with a pool episode from Seton Academy and some nice bathing in Darwin’s Game!

Unusually, it was actually the light novel and manga sphere that let us down this week – I didn’t come across any new releases with sufficient lewdness to bother!
