Well that was a better week than last, this season has a surprising amount of light fanservice when you add it all up! It’s nice having a lot of shows with a little bit of sexiness instead of one full-on ecchi and the rest being squeaky clean!

In terms of this blog, well I haven’t achieved a lot this week because I’ve been thoroughly addicted to Genshin Impact, oops!

Bit of a short post this week since Fall 2020 is an ecchi drought and I haven’t had the time to do any posts throughout the week either!

Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou #2

Everyone is talking about the reveal that this season of Higurashi has turned out to be a different version and not a straightforward retelling, but I’m more focused on the bloomer fanservice we got this week! I still have hope that it will throw a bone to the classic fans who want to lewd the girls!

Well I must say, fall 2020, so far I am disappointed! Usually I’m an optimist when it comes to fanservice prospects but the forecast for this season looks like we might be in for quite the drought! The lineup was also looking fairly restrained when it came to ecchi, but so far I’m getting the vibe that even shows that had a little bit of potential will fall flat. Let’s see:

• Strike witches episode 1 was very restrained, with only the briefest glimpses of panties. Admittedly, the ecchier episodes of past seasons didn’t come until later, but I still get the feeling it’s going to be less lewd that prior seasons.
• Assault Lily Bouquet’s trailer had some panty shots which gave me hope but the first episode went out of its way to ensure there wasn’t even the slightest appearance of panties. I think this one might be a dud.
• Usually there’s one or two surprise fanservice moments from unexpected shows but it’s looking like we won’t get that this season.

On the upside, Danmachi will give us some light sexiness here and there, Iwa Kakeru! should at least have some eye candy and the panty-flashing themed short Dogeza de Tanondemita (which doesn’t air until the 14th) may yet be our salvation!

In the meantime, I’m continuing to look back into the past, tracking down some older 90’s OVAs for reviews. They’re a goldmine of ecchi, I tell ya!

I’ve also been getting into manga more and more, with plenty of amazing ecchi content being published!
